About Old Well Cottage
The apartment is a one bedroom self contained unit. Although ideally suited to two people sharing, there is a sofa bed in the lounge which when converted makes a large comfortable double bed. Well behaved children and pets are welcome!! For example Mum, Dad and Two young children with spot the dog would easilly fit in.
At the bottom of this page you can view some internal photographs, they were taken recently and as can be seen the internal decor and funishings are of an extremely high standard. Outside is a paved patio area to relax, sunbathe or have a b-b-q and adjacent is a large meadow laid to grass which is suitable for ball games and badminton etc. The main house features a large landscaped garden which includes two fish ponds one of which is a 9000 gallon - 45000 litre koi pond stocked with stunning Japanese bred Koi Carp which we are happy for our visitors to enjoy. The property grounds attract a huge variety of birds and wildlife, regular visitors are finches, blackbirds, thrushes, woodpeckers, nuthatches etc with the main feature being a family of badgers who turn up most evenings to feed. We will do our utmost to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. To this end we also supply handy household items such as a toaster, hairdryer radio/cd player along with some books, magazines, puzzles, games and DVDs. Laundry facilities and towels etc are available on request.
Old Well Cottage is in a remote quiet and peaceful valley enclosed by woodland most notably Pendarves Woods and the Carwynnen Quoit but a brisk walk up the local bridle track takes you to the top of Copper Hill giving you stunning views over St Ives Bay and the Cornish Peninsula. Our location although remote allows for easy driving access too all local shops, pubs and other local amenities.
